Following a positive response to our suggestion for “Night Tours” of the museum we are pleased to announce tickets will go on sale on Monday 22nd January at our gift shop only. However, if you stay further away you can book tickets by calling the main reception between 10:00 -15.30 any day of the week on 01779 482200 and they will be posted out [with a small surcharge for posting].
Tours will take about one hour in duration and leave on the hour from 18:00 – 21:00 and a limit of 30 per tour will be supported.
Dates in February 2018 will be, 5,6,7,12,14,19,20,21,26,27 and 28th. Please be aware due to the time of year it will be advisable on the day of your tour to check the web site to ensure weather conditions do not mean the tour date needs to be re-scheduled to another evening in March 2018.
The tours will look at the “History and Mystery” of life within these walls and visitors will sense how it must have felt working in the halls when the “lights were out”.
Please note these tours are not based on our Halloween Events, nor similar to the events hosted every second month by the “Most Haunted Experience” team, but they will give you a sense of how it must have felt when darkness fell [and more].
Aged 18 years and over tickets are a standard £10 per person and because the tour follows the daytime route wheelchair access is possible.
PLEASE NOTE WRAP UP WELL AS THINGS CAN GET A LITTLE “CHILLY WITHIN !!!”
